Mt. Kailash (6714m) is the most sacred mountain in Asia. It is believed to be the physical embodiment of
the mythical Mt Meru, said to be the center of the universe or ‘navel of the world’ . Mt. Meru is
depicted as a mandala, and its image occurs throughout both Buddhista and Hindu parts of Asia. Mt
Kailas is holy to followers of four religions. To Hindus, Kailas is the abode of Shiva and nearby
Manasarobar Lake is the means or soul of Brahma. Tibetans call Kailas Kang Rimpoche. Jains worship it
as Mt Ashtapada, the peak from which the religion’s founder, Rishabanatha, achieved spiritual
liberation. Followers of Bon-Po, the ancient pre- Buddhist shamanistic religion of Tibet, revere Kailas as
the soul of Tibet. Mt. Kailash has long been an object of worship for four Major religious, for Hindu, it is
domain of Shiva, It is also the abode of samvara-a multiarmed, wrathful deity worshipped in the
chakrasamvara Tantric cycle of Tibetrian Buddhism. The joins of India also reverse the mountain as the
site at which the first of their saints emancipated. And in the ancient Bon religion of Tibet, Kailash was
the secred nine storeys Swastika Mountain, upon which the Banpo founder Shenrab alighted from
haven. The 53 Km. Kailash circuit is the holist of all-Hindu as well as Buddist pilgrimages and the beacon,
which draws most traveller to western Tibet. It is said that a single Parikarma erases the accumulated
sins of a lifetime, while 108 cicurmbulation will achieve Salvation.
Mansarovar Lake
Mansarovar is holy lake just close to Mount Kailash, on the way. Manasarovar is very beautiful
on high altitude of Tibet. Once you reach there you can make round (Prarikrama) or take holy
bath. Lake Mansarovar- Sprawling below Mount Kailash is the sacred lake Manasarovar
(4580m), where ritual bath will deliver a pilgrim to brahm's paradise and drink of its water
relinquishes the sins of a hundred lifetimes.
About Kailash:
According to Hinduism, Lord Shiva, the destroyer of evil and sorrow, resides at the summit of a
legendary mountain named Kailāśā, where he sits in a state of perpetual meditation along with
his wife Pārvatī. It is also the abode of samvara-a multiarmed, wrathful deity worshipped in the

However the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of China Tibet
Tourism Bureau. Therefore, Kathmandu Holiday Tours and Travel (P.) Ltd & its related organizations will
not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstance such as
Government restriction, land slide, road blockage, flood, snow and political unrest, cancellation of flight,
delay, delay due to shortage of land cruiser jeep in Tibet, sickness or Accident. Any extra cost including
there shall be borne by traveller themselves.
Document: Minimum three months valid passport and two copies of PP size photograph. A normal
health certificate from your personal doctor to those are 50 years and above by age.
Fitness: This is not trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required.
Anybody can join this tour if they think themselves fit and have strong willpower. People suffering from
cardiac or respiratory problems should consult to their doctor. Morning and evening walks, jogging,
stretching, meditation and regular exercise make the journey comfortable for all.
Food and Beverage: We will serve delicious continental & Indian food; Breakfast and Dinner in campsite
serve by Nepali trained staff. Pack lunch will be provided for daytime. We will serve Mineral Water for
drinking purpose.
Insurance: Full travel, insurance coverage for medicine evacuation, loss of belongs; and trip cancellation
is strongly recommended.
Clothing and equipment list for the trip:
Sleeping bags (down with inside extra cover), jacket (down) / polar fleece, with rain and water proofed,
thermal underwear, wind / rain-proof trousers, woolen and sun hats, scarves (muffler), woolen or
cotton socks, gloves, trekking boots, sun/snow glassed, towel, t-shirt/s, sunscreen/sun lotion, flash light
with extra bulbs and batteries, sandals, water bottles, day pack (for your day time necessities), kit or
duffel bag (to keep your personal belongings) first aid box/personal medicine walking stick.
Please do not carry unnecessary items and / or valuables.
Be sure you have the needy items!
Warm clothes, water bottle, water purification tabs, sun tan lotion utility knife, dusk musk, medicine for
headaches, fever, colds, stomach disorders and Diamox (unless you are allergic to sulpha drugs) for
altitude sickness, It is also good to carry dry fruit, juice powder, breads, candy, canned or packed food,
nuts, pickles and biscuits.
Arrival at Kathmandu Airport. Welcome by our office representative, transfer to the
Hotel. Overnight at Hotel in Katmandu.
After having breakfast sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath & Budhanilkantha. In the
evening packing and program briefing. Overnight.
This is the first day of the Tour. After breakfast
depart from Katmandu to China border by tourist coach. It takes about 06 hours. Our
agent will complete custom formalities and check into Tibet -an autonomous part of
China. After lunch drive to a small Tibetan town called Nyalam by Land Cruiser.
Overnight stay at Nyalam Guest House. Dinner at Guest house cook and serve by
own our cook
After breakfast Nyalam Full day acclimatization - Full day free for
excursion of Nyalam city.
After breakfast drive from Nylam to Saga (4250mts.) for about
08:00 hours which is 230 kms. Overnight stay at Saga in tent or guesthouse.
After breakfast proceed to Paryang(4450 mts.) for about 07:00
hours which is about 280 Kms. Overnight at Paryang in tent or guesthouse.
After breakfast leave for Manasarovar
in a distance about of 275 km which takes about 08:00 hours. This is the first day
stay at the bank of the Manasarovar Lake chui Gompa. Overnight stay in tent or
guesthouse.
Mansarovar round by Land Cruiser.
We will choose the special point to take dip in Manasarovar Lake and do Pooja of
Lord Shiva. Half day free for spiritual activities. Drive around 2.00 hrs to Darchen
and overnight stay there. Our guide will proceed for local authority for further
program, Porter, yak & Horse arrangement.
Drive about 10 kms to Tarboche. This is the
first day of Kailash Parikrama(round Tour). We should start our journey after
breakfast as early as possible. This day we have to walk continuously for about 6 to 7
hours. Yak will carry all
This day is very sensitive and we have to
pass Dolma-La Pass, which is about 5500 mt. above sea level. The weather in
unpredictable in Doma-la Pass and at any time snowstorm can fall. So we try to start
our journey as early as possible. In route we can have Darshan of Gaurikund but it is
very difficult to go and touch. Overnight stay in route to Zhulthulphuk in tent or
Guest House.
We will Trek down to Darchen later our tour starts
back for Kathmandu following the same route and same system applies for all
subjects of our accommodation and meal or we can stay at Manasarovar Lake
overnight at Tent or Guest House.
Drive back to Saga
Drive back to Nyalam, which is the last stay in Tibet part.
After custom formalities we will be picked up by Nepal
side and continue drive to Kathmandu for about 06.00 hours and check into same
hotel.
After Breakfast departure for Airport to catch your flight for next Destination
